Started in 1994, the Friends U Need is a non-profit organization established with the goal of helping people who are returning to our communities with disadvantages and in need of assistance and services to start a new life and face an environment that actively deters them from becoming a productive part of the community and society.
OUR MISSION
Here at The Friends U Need, it is our mission to provide resources and services that enable those we serve to gain skills for employment; living with a renewed sense of fulfillment and purpose. Our programs help prepare challenged individuals for financial independence, leadership, and employment readiness. We support our senior population with access to resources that aid them with the daily challenges of aging gracefully. Our youth are our future leaders and it is our mission to help them address issues with self esteem, substance abuse, peer pressure, and criminal activity.

TRANSFORMING LIVES
We aim to provide knowledge, wisdom, and understating as tools to rebuild the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of those who have encountered difficulties and struggles in their life. Turning their stumbling stones into building blocks.
Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind!

PROMOTING JUSTICE THAT RESTORES
It is our commitment to provide a more restorative approach to life’s difficult situations and circumstances. We do this by awakening the force and
power lies within.

With an intentional and wholesome approach, our program focuses on
the entire family:

Simulated Heavy Equipment Operations
We teach various kinds of approaches to help youths improve their self-esteem, decision-making skills, and future confidence.
These skills can increase their employability, provide more job opportunities, and assist them with self-employment, allowing them to transition easily into the community.
