We are dedicated to helping people who are returning to our communities with disadvantages and in need of assistance and services to start a new life. Our mission is to provide resources and services that enable them to gain employment and live fulfilling and free lives.
Started in 1994, the Friends U Need is a non-profit organization established with the goal of helping people who are returning to our communities with disadvantages and in need of assistance and services to start a new life and face an environment that actively deters them from becoming a productive part of the community and society.

Here at The Friends U Need, it is our mission to provide resources and services that enable these people to gain skills for employment, and live fulfilling and free lives.
The purpose of our program is to provide justice-involved individuals with the skills and opportunity to become financially independent, become leaders, and create jobs within their communities.

We make sure to get input from the communities we want to help, and we think through all the ways our efforts could make a difference—empowering disadvantaged and returning citizens to transform their lives while creating a ripple effect at the community level to continue a wave of inspiration and motivation for generations.

CARING FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
Our programs help families and loved ones learn positive social and emotional skills that can build trust, respect, community, and personal growth. These skills can also help students learn to regulate their feelings and transition to a mindset ready for learning.
Our Feature Project
The Friends U Need, a non-profit organization, supports programs that minimize recidivism, give educational opportunities, and assist rehabilitation for citizens who are returning to our communities with disadvantages and in need of assistance and services to start a new life. It also connects them to resources that will assist them in succeeding in life.
Simulated Heavy Equipment Operations
We teach various kinds of approaches to help youths improve their self-esteem, decision-making skills, and future confidence.
These skills can increase their employability, provide more job opportunities, and assist them with self-employment, allowing them to transition easily into the community.
